Darwin photos

I’ve spent three evenings learning to code Perl. In fact, I decided that my first project would be to write yet another web image gallery program. The first first gallery I’ve generated is one containing my favourite photos of Darwin. The code is a bit untidy but it’s a good prototype. Whether or not I finish it is another matter; I’m not really a Perl fan, especially after I spent 40 minutes tracking down a bug that was simply caused by a missing ‘sub’ in a function declaration. The error message was obtuse to say the least.

Spent most of the weekend down south, visited the Kilmeston Fete and the Flower Pots in Cheriton. Last weekend it was Stu’s stag weekend in Budapest, which I’ll write about at some point. I have a few photos, which if decent will be posted too.

Trying to give up smoking, so I’m grinding my teeth a lot and muttering curses under my breath.

The nosey chap above was watching me have a pee in my bathroom this evening.
