I’m home and it’s hot. Flight from Singapore to Heathrow was a shocker - 14 hours on a plane is never funny. It was a BA flight and luckily I had a seat near the emergency exit with full legroom, as all the other economy class seats were very close together. The guy next to me had his knees jammed againt the seat in front. I vowed there and then not to fly with BA on long haul flights until they improve substantially. Quantas had much more legroom and generally better service. Sally met me outside the coffee shop, welcomed me with heaps of kisses and gave me a lift home.
We spent the afternoon at West Wittering beach. Call me fussy, but spending £5 on parking and then sharing a pebble beach with thousands of others seems a little lame after the beaches in WA. The company, of course was fantastic. The phone woke me at 2130 after falling asleep and Sally had gone, leaving me a note. Matt and Paula came to the pub with me and Matt lent me a tenner, as I had left my wallet in Sally’s car. I slept like a jarrah log until this moning.
