Carelessness

Had a very pleasant evening bike ride up Portsdown Hill. On the way out I came across the Portsmouth Joggers doing a 5K time trial near the Mountbatten Centre. Could be another club to join - they meet every Tues & Thurs eve. Picked up a stone in rear brake block and scored the rim quite deeply.

Then I drove to Winchester to see Sally. I fear I may have been caught by a speed camera on the way back, which was careless. Also realised I have failed to apply for my Electronic Travel Authority :-( Stupid boy. I’ve now realised that I will need my credit card to apply. Hope it gets here tomorrow.

Jack Straw squirmed a little at the foreign affirs select committee and gave the impression that any misleading information wasn’t anything to do with him. Of course, as foreign secretary, the dodgy dossier had nothing to do with him. The very idea! I expect Alistair Campbell to come through his little interview unscathed, even if Straw has (possibly rightly) set him up. Here’s hoping they don’t get let off the hook on this one. The Independent shows no sign of letting people forget, with a series of great cover pages. Tuesday’s was “10 questions to ask Alistair Campbell”.
