I’ve just moved the website over to a new style. After several hours getting to grips with CSS I had a style I was reasonably happy with. Then it was simply a matter of editing nearly all the .html and .php files to use the new styles. Repetitive editing like this is strangely therapeutic; there’s a feeling of progress that’s lacking in a coding session that takes all day and produces ten lines of code, because you had to work out how to do something fundamentally difficult or new.
It was therapy today, because there are various things in my life that are making me unhappy and I’d rather ignore them for a few moments. Otherwise I end up being rude to friends and family and people on mailing lists.
Oh, and I’ve written this bash shell script to review digital camera images. I have a new release almost ready that will handle sequences of images e.g. IMG_1370.JPG -> IMG_1400.JPG.
