For the last year or so, I’ve had a very simple shell script, which outputs a map of the UK in PNG and Postscript formats. It uses GMT and ImageMagick, isn’t very clever, but might save someone a little time if they don’t want to spend hours fiddling with GMT options. The script can be found in my Linux section. I have vague plans to make it more flexible and user friendly at some point in the future. Until then, you may need to edit it to suit your needs.
